This would mean you should avoid such sporting activities like, tennis, badminton, and racquetball. They all use rapid movements of the elbow joint and will just continue to worsen the problem.

It doesn’t always have to be a repetitive motion to cause persistent elbow pain. Bursitis, is usually a result from some type of trauma to the elbow or caused from a condition like the gout or rheumatoid arthristis. In most of these cases, mild rehabilitation exercises is used to help heal the joint naturally.

If your joint pain in your elbow is caused from a fracture, it will be harder to treat because the entire arm will have to be immobile. An elbow fracture will result in having to have corrective surgery in order to heal correctly. The recovery time is usually a slow and aggravating process, especially for someone who is very active.

Elbow joint pain from a sprain or strain are painful also but much less serious. The treatment will usually just be for rest for the pain to finally diminish.


It is important to see your doctor is you have persistent elbow pain that just doesn’t want to go away, even after rest. Many people will often choose to just ignore nagging elbow pain in hopes it just will go away. It’s just not going to go away without the proper steps taken. In more severe cases, constant pain may never completely go away without the correct treatment.
