When you here the word cellulite you often relate it to obesity or someone who is extremely overweight. The reality is nobody knows the main reason why some people accumulate more cellulite then others. What is known is diet and exercise is an important factor in ways you can get rid of cellulite.
Cellulite is often referred to as wrinkled “fat cells” or “subcutaneous connective tissue” underneath the layer of the skin. It should never be just associated with fat or obese people. in fact, some people who are not that fat can still have cellulite.
Having a lot of fat can trigger the development of cellulites because having too much fat underneath the skin can push the connective tissue which will cause a strain on the skin. This is how cellulite will form.
However, this formation of cellulite still depends on the structure of a person’s cell. If a person’s cell does not inhibit the need to bulge or expand even if fat has accumulated, then cellulite will not form.
Cellulite and Women
It seems that cellulite is an issue that is dealt with by women more than it is by men. The main reason for this could be that the connective tissue of women are far more rigid than men and when a woman puts on fat, the fat cells will swell and get bigger. This will create the “orange peel look” which is a protruding appearance to the skin of fat.
Women have a higher chance of accumulating cellulite then men and exercise can be an important tool . Diet and exercise will not target cellulite directly but it will help lower bodyfat which has an effect on the accumulation of cellulite.
Using Diet and Exercise to Get Rid of Cellulite
Having a healthy diet which contains lots of fruits and vegetables and whole grains is an important step to get rid of cellulite. Forget the processed foods and go the more healthier route. Take a little extra time to prepare your meals so you know what is going in them. Eliminate restaurant eating or cutback on doing it. Also, don’t take all your calories in with just three big meals but break it down throughout the day. Proper nutrition is the first step in getting rid of cellulite.
Physical activity is the next big step that will get rid of cellulite. The negative results from being inactive can be reversed by adding in some physical activity. An intense hour of exercise can burn as much as 300-600 calories. If you add that to cutting 300-500 calories a day, you can expect a healthy weight loss of 1-2 pounds a week.
If you try doing this without exercise you would have to eliminate 500-1000 calories from your diet a day. This is almost always a sure way to fail in your efforts just by reducing calories and could lead to the weight coming back. Also, resorting to this method will cause people who are prone to cellulite a greater problem. Dieting alone can cause you to lose conective tissue instead of fat which will make the skin more prone to cellulite cause the fat cells are still present. The problem is not solved at all this way.
There are many creams and fads that claim to eliminate cellulite but if all starts with diet and exercise. The importance of diet and exercise to get rid of cellulite should be the first concern as it is better to lose fat first in order to lose cellulite. Increasing your metabolism through diet and exercise will help you burn more fat giving you a more cellulite free body.
